At Citty.rent, we aim to provide our clients with the most comfortable and safe car rental conditions. However, it is important to note that taking rented vehicles outside the borders of Georgia is strictly prohibited. This decision is due to various international and local regulations, as well as our commitment to ensuring the safety and legal integrity of our rentals.

Restrictions on Border Crossing

  1. Azerbaijan: The land border between Georgia and Azerbaijan has been closed since 2022, following the COVID-19 pandemic. The only legal way to travel from Georgia to Azerbaijan is by air.

  2. Turkey: Turkey imposes restrictions on the entry of vehicles with Georgian license plates. Entry is possible only in personal transport, and only if more than three months have passed since the vehicle's registration.

  3. Armenia: While technically possible to enter Armenia in a vehicle with Georgian license plates, Citty.rent does not issue permissions for such trips. Additionally, citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, cannot enter Armenia in vehicles with Georgian license plates due to EAEU regulations.

Why We Adopted This Policy?

This policy is designed to prevent legal and administrative complications that might arise from using a rented vehicle outside the country. We are dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of the rental is simple, clear, and safe for all parties involved. Our vehicles are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable and secure journey within Georgia, allowing you to enjoy the beauties and hospitality of the country without additional concerns.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these rules and hope for your support in maintaining the safety and reliability of Citty.rent services.
